Fundraising
This year, the club has raised around $45,000 thanks to a number of successful fundraising projects, a significant increase on previous years. Your support enables us to continue to make grants and support our local international community.
Our fundraising projects include:
- Whitehorse Farmers Market
- Book A Rama
- Mont Albert Village Fair
- Antique Festival
- Sausage Sizzles
- Bakery Products
- Mince Pies
- Hot Cross Buns
- Christmas Cakes & Plum Puddings
The Fundraising Committee will also implement new fundraising initiatives.
eBay Sales
Our club has taken a fresh approach to our Book Sales with regular selling on eBay. Our books have sold far and wide with many being shipped to the far flung parts of Australia and even to the United States. If you would like to check our regular offerings on eBay – our Seller ID is rotaryclub-montalbertsurreyhills.
The majority of our selling is in bulk lots, so you can get great value and amazing bargains. Why not keep an eye on our eBay sales for Christmas gifts.
Second Hand Book Fair
The Rotary Club of Mont Albert & Surrey Hills holds regular Second Hand Book Fairs. The last sale netted over $1,000 which is used for our clubs Community Projects. The date for the next Book Fair is yet to be set.
If you would like to donate books, please contact Jenny on (03) 9836 7024. All proceeds go to our community projects.
Antiques & Collectables Fair
In May, 2009, the Rotary Club of Mont Albert & Surrey Hills held its Inaugural Antiques & Collectables Fair in conjunction with Sue Anderson of Oscar Brown Antiques of Surrey Hills.
The event was held at Mont Albert Primary School Hall and was a great success with many patrons attending and excellent stall holder support.
The date for the 2010 event has been revised, due to a clash with Mothers Day. It will be posted online as soon as finalised and all stallholders from 2009 will be advised.
