Early in the 2007/08 Rotary year, the club initiated a relationship with the Rotary Club of Beaufort in District 9780.  The Rotarians at Beaufort were very receptive to our approach and Nicole Osner and the Rural Relationships Committee have built the link between the two clubs in the intervening period.

The projects include:

• Home hosted by Beaufort Rotarians – Melbourne Cup Weekend and attended the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally
• MASH Rotarians home hosted Beaufort in April, 2008 and May 2009
• Funded the Advertising costs for a Family Information Day;
• Coordinated and paid for the attendance of a team from Beaufort Secondary College to attend Model United Nations Assembly.
• Providing all newborns with a knitted toy
• Providing Grade 3 Students with Dictionaries.
• Blankets for Nursing Homes & Hostels are being investigated.

• Dictionaries for Grade 3 Students
• Model United Nations Assembly Team
• Blankets & Toys
• Investigation and possible development of an Environmental Curriculum for city primary students at Beaufort.
