Whitehorse Farmers’ Market
With sixty vendors selling an amazing variety of produce, the Whitehorse Farmers’ Market began on the SECOND SUNDAY in November, 2007.
The Market is conducted with the local council with all proceeds distributed in the City of Whitehorse to fund a diverse array of community programs.
A visit to the Whitehorse Farmers’ Market will fill your senses with an amazing array of fruit and vegetables, eggs, chutneys, meats, jams, cheese, breads, honey, flowers and so much more. The food is fresh, delightful and you will simply come back for more. Now with regularly more than seventy vendors, you can purchase just about anything you might desire!
Regular shopper at the market Jenny shared her reasons for being a regular at the market: “The amazing range and superb quality at the market month after month makes me keep coming back time and again. I aim to never miss the market as I buy our family meat supplies and in the summer months the stone fruits are simply a must. I also buy eggs at the Farmers’ Market as they are always so fresh with yolks so yellow!”
It is a real win-win that city residents can purchase produce direct from the farms and at the same time help out the many needs within the City of Whitehorse through the simple donation of a gold coin on arrival. A great reward for our community.
Do come along to the Whitehorse Farmers’ Market on the SECOND SUNDAY OF THE MONTH between 8am and 1pm. It is held at the rear of the Whitehorse Civic Centre, 397 Maroondah Highway, Nunawading, Melway Ref: 48 G9. To find out more please check the monthly Whitehorse Farmers’ Market News newsletter.
